Life as a second year student

My life as a Sunderland Uni student started like a week ago, but everyone knows that the first day of school is the busiest day of the year (except exam time where you have to find out what will come out in the exam and study a couple piles of stuff). Actually my timetable is not that busy on the first week, but running here and there applying for stuff and buying your daily necessity kinda occupies yours free time just like that *click*.

The first thing I have to do before everything is to unpack my boxes of things and put them into their appropriate places to make my room look bigger and neat. Well, my room is kinda small (i mean really small) compared to the two BIG rooms that are occupied by seniors. Can't do anything about it anyway, they are older and they live longer in this house than me. ^^ Okie, everythings fine until somethings really sucks about my room. I TOTALLY HATE IT!

Here are the 5 things I hate about my room (for now):

1. The heater

Its so far away from my bed that its warm in the other end of my room but freezing where my bed is situated. The main controls are downstairs, which means that people can switch it off without you noticing and freeze like a ball of ice. But that problem has already been solved. I just bought myself a little electric heater so now I can have my room warm and cozy at all times. This sounds great but I'll see what happens when the electric bill comes out. I'll have to pay like shit.

2. Bookshelf

Well, I don't have anything much to say about this because I dont even have one. Good thing the desk is very big, if not where will I put those heavy books that I won't usually read?

3. Mirror

This is major! no mirrors at all!! The mirror here are not like RM30 and you get a nice full length mirror. It'll cost you so so SOOO much more. Now I just bought a small mirror just enough to see my face and at least I know that my hair doesn't look like crap when I go out. Other that that, the landlord have this stupid weird rule about punching holes on the wall or even stick a hook on. All I can use is those blue sticky tack thingie that dont even hold heavy stuff (if you consider stuff heavier than paper are heavy). I SO need a bigger mirror right now. You know its hard to use the small mirror to see whether what your wearing matches or not. So, mirror are very very important.

4. The rack that's holding the bed....bedstand?

Ok, that thing suck right now. I demand the landlord to change a new one for me. Unfortunately, he's on holiday....go figures. One corner of the rack thing is already broken and there's nails sticking out of it. I haven't notice it before but right after it torn my new expensive bedsheet, I definately noticed. That thing is really dangerous and I'm affraid that the whole thing might collapse while I was sleeping on it. That would hurt.

5. The bed!

not only the rack thing sucks, the bed sucks too! I think its like too old or something. I can feel the springs on my back. For now I've placed a thick mattress protector over it so I wouldn't have backach when I wake up in the morning. The bed I can live with but the rack thingie that holds it, I totally can't!
