Lousy boots!

I bought a pair of nice little leather boots from Malaysia and it looks like good quality when I bought it.

It's quite comfortable as well.

But one day I wore it for a whole day. Just for ONE whole day.  This happens...

The skin starts coming off! I dont know whether its supposed to come off that way. I don't think any shoes does that.

It's a good thing this is black in colour or it'll really show.

Yet again..this boots cost me RM 100++ la! Not cheap at all.

What a rip off!

clumsy me

I have no idea what happened to me. I get loads of bruises in these past few weeks.

I got bruises on my thigh and my knees. And I have to rub it hard to get the obvious blue black to disappear.  Why am I so clumsy that I injure myself so much? Pain is not fun at all!

Mirror mirror on the wall

I finally found a decent almost full length mirror! Now I can say bye bye in using that small facial mirror to see whether I dress ok or not. Ofcourse I will still use that small mirror for my face, but having a bigger mirror feels so much nicer and I'm actually really really excited.

Tada!!

I have no idea what I'm excited about actually..It's just a mirror. But look at it! Aww...it looks pretty doesn't it. It has some design on its side too. Compared to this..

It's so freaking small

Imagine how I get dressed using that for the last 2 weeks.

Ouh! and guess how much that bigger mirror cost? Only 5 pounds! Consider that super cheap since most of the full length mirror cost almost or more than 20 pounds here.

I'm totally satisfied. *nod nod*

Life as a second year student

My life as a Sunderland Uni student started like a week ago, but everyone knows that the first day of school is the busiest day of the year (except exam time where you have to find out what will come out in the exam and study a couple piles of stuff). Actually my timetable is not that busy on the first week, but running here and there applying for stuff and buying your daily necessity kinda occupies yours free time just like that *click*.

The first thing I have to do before everything is to unpack my boxes of things and put them into their appropriate places to make my room look bigger and neat. Well, my room is kinda small (i mean really small) compared to the two BIG rooms that are occupied by seniors. Can't do anything about it anyway, they are older and they live longer in this house than me. ^^ Okie, everythings fine until somethings really sucks about my room. I TOTALLY HATE IT!

Here are the 5 things I hate about my room (for now):

1. The heater

Its so far away from my bed that its warm in the other end of my room but freezing where my bed is situated. The main controls are downstairs, which means that people can switch it off without you noticing and freeze like a ball of ice. But that problem has already been solved. I just bought myself a little electric heater so now I can have my room warm and cozy at all times. This sounds great but I'll see what happens when the electric bill comes out. I'll have to pay like shit.

2. Bookshelf

Well, I don't have anything much to say about this because I dont even have one. Good thing the desk is very big, if not where will I put those heavy books that I won't usually read?

3. Mirror

This is major! no mirrors at all!! The mirror here are not like RM30 and you get a nice full length mirror. It'll cost you so so SOOO much more. Now I just bought a small mirror just enough to see my face and at least I know that my hair doesn't look like crap when I go out. Other that that, the landlord have this stupid weird rule about punching holes on the wall or even stick a hook on. All I can use is those blue sticky tack thingie that dont even hold heavy stuff (if you consider stuff heavier than paper are heavy). I SO need a bigger mirror right now. You know its hard to use the small mirror to see whether what your wearing matches or not. So, mirror are very very important.

4. The rack that's holding the bed....bedstand?

Ok, that thing suck right now. I demand the landlord to change a new one for me. Unfortunately, he's on holiday....go figures. One corner of the rack thing is already broken and there's nails sticking out of it. I haven't notice it before but right after it torn my new expensive bedsheet, I definately noticed. That thing is really dangerous and I'm affraid that the whole thing might collapse while I was sleeping on it. That would hurt.

5. The bed!

not only the rack thing sucks, the bed sucks too! I think its like too old or something. I can feel the springs on my back. For now I've placed a thick mattress protector over it so I wouldn't have backach when I wake up in the morning. The bed I can live with but the rack thingie that holds it, I totally can't!

Crisis

Packing my luagage was and still is a very very difficult task since I couldn't decide what to bring and what to let go. My check in luggages are already over weight by 2kg and I think MAS will let it pass but I really wanna bring more...so much more. Call me stingy but we'll see who gets the last laugh when you can't find shoes to match your outfit or a cute little sweater to match your shirt.

I'll just have to hope that MAS will let me through with the baggage over weight. I can let go with some of my clothes I think. About 70% of my clothes are hand carried because I can't fit all of them in my luggage but I give up bringing some of my clothes right after I find the perfect leather boots. Still looking..

Currently I don't really have much clothes packed because I have to bring more important stuff like bed sheet, books and towels ect. Apparently there are more important things than my bags and shoes. Hahaha ^^ but now I couldn't even bring cans of tuna with me T.T

Since my dad already forbid me to buy more bags (my parents thinks I spend too much money on bags.) I will only bring 4 bags to the uk. The bags I'm ok with...its the shoes I'm a bit sad about. Because of 3 stupid heavy books that weight 8kg, I couldn't bring any extra clothes or shoes with me! WTF I dont even read that much!! like heck I will study all 3 books everyday! Argh!!

apparently my job is to study right now so I'll bear with it. I have to...daddy said so. And ofcourse, I'm mature enough to understand it. Hahahaa~

Family time

Since I'm going to leave Malaysia soon, spending time with my family is my priority. I can't even imagine that I'm not gonna see them for at least 2 years. I'm gonna miss them lots..even my bratty sister.

Guess what we did for our family time..

I would personally choose to go shopping but bowling is kinda fun with my family.

Grandpa's there too but he can't bowl..

So I'm just happy to spend time with them...every second I can...for now.

Cat show 2008 Kota Kinabalu

I totally forgot to write about the cat show that I was so eager to go. Heh..let's face it..there's nothing much to write about. I'm just a crazy cat lover who loooooove cats so much that I think that its so exciting. Lame  -__-   i know...and I have to pay rm5 for the entrance fee. I've been robbed T.T We're not even allowed to touch the cats!

But I have to say, those cats are beeeeautiful!

most of tham are fat.. seriously thay have a weight problem. Do cats suffer from heart attacks?

Even with an attitude.

Anyhow, I still love cats A LOT! Cats rule the planet and.... erm..that's all I came up with.

I'm going to bed.

Planning Ahead

September 23rd..I will be leaving Malaysia to Sunderland..again. But this time, I'm not taking emirates straight away to Newcastle. I'm taking a non-stop flight to London then change to an domestic flight to Newcastle. So what can I do on the 14 hours non-stop flight to London? Surely I cant move around much. And why not just sleep through out the flight? I can't..It departs KL at 10am in the morning and by then I would be done crashing in my aunt's place.

That's why I've started a little plan to pass my time.

My fashion and celebrity 38 magazines are definately a must.

I have a thing for winter/fall wears. I'm just not so into summer beach wears because I dont have a super hot body...UK is freezing cold la..how to wear?! so just forget about it.

yet I can't be bringing all of my comics and magazines for sure..I have weight problems to consider.

SO.... I was thinking of buying some light but fun stuff to pass my time.

This brain teaser cube was yet to be bought but its a great way to spend your time. So cube is part of my plan ^^

The next thing would be so cool if I really had one.

either this..

or this..

I don't think my parents are gonna buy me one. Its not cheap and I already had a wii...come to think of it..why a wii? I can't even bring it to uk!! T.T total regret.....

my cousin said that the nintendo DS will suit me better cause I'm not a hardcore gammer. But either one would be awsome.

and..

plus a blanket so that I can Zzz...

(She seriously need to be washed..seriously. Heh..I'll do that tomorrow~)

5kg more stuff

I finally did a rough weighing of my luggage that I'm gonna bring to UK with and it comes up to about only 12kg! well..plus the 3 textbooks then it'll be about 15kg. Since the weight limit for MAS is 20kg, I have 5kg more left. I'm so happy~ I've been wanting to buy a pair of shoes I saw in vincci. And a pair of leather boots but that will have to wait because I havn't saw any that I like. I need a new speakers too..mine was already broken. Hmm..Now I'm practically broke so I'll have to wait for my dad to come back and shoes, HERE I COME!

Another bad luck...

I was on Air Asia plane back to KK and I bought a cup of Teh Tarik what reading my Galaxie Magazine. But then I accidentally knocked the cup down and spilled it all over the seat. The teh tarik on my pants was hot. Even inside of my handbag, my magazine, my jeans..everything! Good thing I have my luggage handcarried but still its kinda strange to change clothings on the plane. And I dont have any jeans left so I have to change into a skirt...my legs were freezing all the way back to KK.

These are just some stuff I have teh tarik all over~

Grandpa can shop without getting tired

My grandpa can finally shop without getting tired a lot and we can save the "yam cha" money everytime he got tired.

We call it his super chair. Its a transit wheelchair that can be folded and carried in a carrying bag. My grandpa likes to push it himself because he say its more stable than a tongkat and he can walk faster. The best part is...he can sit on the chair when he's tired!

Back and here to stay!....for now

I wasn't in KK for the past week because I've been forced to go to Batu Pahat, Johor with my dad and grandpa to do some "work" there since I'm not doing anything at all in KK. Actually I don't do much there either, just taking care of grandpa, doing some office work that's all. What a waste of money to fly there for nothing. Anyway, now I'm finally back I'm not planning to go anywhere except going back to UK later on September.

I just came back tonight and moments later I was here typing my way in to a new post. And there will be loads more to come! (While writing I needed to restart my laptop caused of some reason, then I fell asleep..so I'm continuing it right now XD)

Before I write what happens in JB, here's what I did BEFORE I went away. It's old news but I'm gonna talk about it anyway. = b

Ever heard of chinese medical doctors right? I bet you do. They are quite famous around asian countries and chinese people tend to seek treatment from them a lot. Chinese medicine treats a person as a whole and not aching parts of your body. Remember my twisted ankle? I visited a chinese doctor before I went to JB. I thought chinese doctors just rub on some herbal oil and gives a massage. Little do I know....

He treats my ankle by finding the problem vain and starts hitting it saying it will "loosen the vain". That hurts a lot la! see..big blue black mark. But since I was practically screaming my head off, he cut me some slacks. So its not that seriously bruised. My mom laughed at me and said: "you paid someone to be beaten up".  T.T heh...........suan liao la..the bruise is gone but the twisted pain is still there.

Detour

The internet is my only entertainment now. So you'll be seeing me posting loads of craps on my blog, polluting your mind with my pointless thoughts. Hahaha!

I'm kinda forgetful for a person my age. I'm only 20 la! Ok..I forgot to bring my memory stick reader back to Malaysia so I couldn't just copy some pictures or files into my laptop. And I donno how to use the cable. Somehow it just doesn't work.

So in order to transfer files I'll have to use a long detour, the one that involves my Samsung S5 player.

Then connect to my laptop..

Its kinda troublesome but I guess I have to do it. Remind me to bring my camera so that I don't have to do that all the time when I took some nice pictures.

A series of unfortunate events

Like I said, I broke my Wii yesterday. So I can't play the wii.

But today, the astro remote suddenly stop working!

and we're stuck in channel 701: AXN

Aww..this is SO not my week. First the wii now astro?!

I don't wanna watch AXN forever and ever...well, until I get a new remote anyway.

Heh..but the remote is kinda old...more like 10 years old..so its not a shocker that it would stop working at some point. It's time has come.....

Update:

Hah, the remote is still working. Its just some Astro problem and was fixed today afternoon. So I was a little over reacted about it ^____^ Its all good..all good~

The dark knight

The dark knight might be a great movie for most people but I think its just an ok movie. Its a bit too action-ie for me. (I know that's not even a word but yeah..too actionie.) Might be caused by the fact that i'm not really a batman fan. Do you need to be a fan to watch this to understand it?

The graphic quality was really good. I do like the car and batman's vision. That's so cool. It lets him see through walls and know the placing of people in the building. Wonder what would I become if I have that kind of technology XD

They make Harvey Dent's burnt face looks so realistic and scary. Its so believable! He then turns bad because batman or the cops didn't save his girlfriend and save him instead. That's why he wanted commissioner Gordon to suffer what he'd been through by attempting to kill his family infront of him. He should be more greatful that he didn't die then. Heh..he died in the end of the movie anyway. And what's up with the flipping coin destiny thing?

Don't get me started with the joker. OMG I love the joker. Heath Ledger is a genius! He's so good at playing the part of the joker.

He looks so creepy and evil but at the same time he's smart at doing what he does. "Why so serious?" and cuts people's mouth to put a smile on their face...or he just kills them right at the spot. He said that he likes knifes because guns are too fast for him. Hmm..true true..guns are pretty fast. And he kinda always gets away with his evil schemes.

The end of the movie is so touchy. I almost cried when the kid said batman did nothing wrong and when Gordon said that batman's not a hero, he's a silent guardian, a protector..the dark knight.

This movie is not like "WOW" to me since I don't really get most of it. Maybe I should watch it again to get the gasp of excitement. But its a highly rated movie so who cares what I think.

Lunch with the birthday girl and boy

Kang Wen and Ying Hui~ the birthday girl and boy! This picture makes me look chubby..but of course its not about me..

Somehow we have an interest in this drink. can't remember what's the name but its supposed to be for couples ^^ It tasted like lychee if anyone's wondering..

and this is the birthday boy's....

.....bucket of soup?

After lunch, we all went to watch the dark knight movie. But before that, we went our separate ways coz some people wanna buy presents and others just wanna play pool.

We got a bag for Ying Hui.

and I got this for Kang Wen..(he's been hinting for months)

Yeah yeah..mplayer for the mickey fan! Don't you ever forget about the deal! See..i'm such a great friend......

I havn't have time to give him yet..(that's why I can take loads of pics of it XD )

He's not the only one who gets an mplayer, I bought 1 for my sister too. A black one.

Black is so sexy.

Ahh! what the heck

My blue mplayer ^^

Lastly, I like to wish them happy birthday~

Step by Step

He's getting better now. He used to drink from the toilet bowl...

Oops!

OMG I broke the wii! I didn't mean it. I just turn on the power switch then I heard some popping sound like "pak.. pak...pak.." sound. So naturally I turn the switch off. Then the wii wouldn't start anymore! I need to get it fix soon. Hopefully its just the adaptor that is burnt not the wii. T.T

Am I an addict?

Everybody get addicted to something somepoint in their lives. Like me, I get addicted to loads of stuff. Don't get me wrong, I'm not addicted to drugs, alcohol or nicotine. What I am talking about is physiological addiction. It's kinda the same as addicted to drugs, but not as dangerous..it might be dangerous...depends of how serious your addiction gets.

Here are the top 5 stuff that I got "addicted" to:
1. Anime
2. Games
3. Dramas (Korean or Taiwanese...not a huge fan of Hong Kong and China ones though)
4. comics
5. and...ok... food!

It sounds serious that I have so many addictions which make you people think that I have a psychological problem or that i'm just crazy and should be locked up in Bukit padang (mental hospital) or whatever life issues. I don't! at least I think I don't...

I was addicted to Anime a LONG time ago. It gets serious at one point that I was watching anime all day without doing anything (I don't miss meals though...note addiction no. 5). I like watching anime because of the stories. I even have a blog about anime. This addiction soon wears off because I simply lost interest in watching anime.

Games...hmm.. I've played lots of games before e.g. RPG, MMORPG, puzzle games and so on. Most of the games I played for like 3 days tops then I stop playing them. Sometimes I only play for like 30 min then its over. So I never finish any games really. Games gets boring after a while..I get bored fast..plus I'm really bad at those fighting strategies stuff. I basically sucks at playing games. Then why do I still play games? storyline of course and a little bit of fun time.

I only watch dramas that interest me. So, I don't watch them all the time.

I like to read comics now and then. I like to read it in a "book-like" condition. Meaning I only read comic books..not from the computer screen.

Food! how can anyone get addicted to food? easy. I love to eat, that's all. It's true that I gained a couple of pounds but I won't let my addiction make me obese. That I cannot accept. So unhealthy and as a pharmacist to be, how can I treat people when I'm not even healthy myself?

Loads of video gamers are really addicted to game playing and they really need help. If you are playing games but do not neglect health and studies, then its fine since its just some fun in life. Right? I actually don't consider my hobbies an addiction since I'm not like glued to my laptop and play games all day long without eating or sleeping. (The anime one sounds a bit freaky but I'm so over that). I do other stuff too..like shopping, cooking, baking. I do have a life FYI.

So, am I an addict?

Let me hear you say Wii.....!!

That's what I'm talking about! my dad bought me a set of wii. Yeay! I'm so happy.

He even bought a sports pack and a fishing rod with it (I have no idea why he bought he fishing rod. He said he wanted my grandpa to fish.)

I wanted more games so I can play with all of them XD hahaha. We used our old TV for the wii so we dont need to plug and unplug stuff later.

I'm gonna play my Wii now ^^ Wiiiiiiiiiiiiii

*luvkitties*

Cats competition is coming to town!

My mom was reading the newspaper and she saw an article about a cat show that was coming to Sabah. I was so excited when I saw it! Its on the 23rd and 24th of August so I told my dad I MUST be in KK those few days. Plus, they are holding is a pedigree cat competition as well. So many cats to see~ yeay!

I've actually been to a cat show before (something like 2 years ago?) and I loved it. There are many different kinds of cats and and you get to guess the weight of a really really huge cat! Its so big and fluffy and cute and... u'll get what I mean.

Back to the competition. Too bad its for pedigree cats only and I dont have any pedigree cats. All my cats are buatan Malaysia...or should i say made in Kota Kinabalu. I have one half siamese but he's mom was my KK made cat. So I dont think he's considered a pedigree cat. I wish I could enter the competition, I wanna win ribons...

Even though I can't participate in the compatition, I will definately watch the show. Cats are great! That's why I love them ^^

Big bed here I come!

Since my parents are both out-station this week, I decided to sleep on their new big bed. hahaha XD I can have it all to myself!!

Stupid mosquitos!!!

I woke up fine today but just feels a little strange on my left eye lids. Its like heavy and little bit itchy. So I looked at the mirror and found 2 mosquite bite marks there, making my eye lids look red and puffy!

Stupid mosquito! now I got one ugly bengkak left eye!! Urgh!

Finish up the sour cream....

Since I have some sour cream left over from baking the chocolate cake, I decided to bake another cake out of it. I have to use it up because the sour cream will expire on the 22nd and its expensive and its really hard to get! (Its the ingredient that I have to walk to Damai just to buy it, so no way i'm going to waste that little sour cream!!)

I was going to cook a dish with it actually but my mom didnt buy any fresh mushroom and paprika. So I just have to go with cakes. So I baked this "Sour cream butter cake". I couldn't find a really nice recipe that fit everything I have so I have to improvise a little.

One thing I got wrong was the vanilla extract. The recipe there says "11/2 tbs of vanilla extract" So naturally I devided 11 by 2..which is 5.5 tbs of vanilla. But I compared some other recipes and found that most of them are only using like 2 tbs most of vanilla. Some how I convinced myself that it needed 5.5 tbs. After baking the cake and everything. I suddenly understand what the 11/2 means. Its not 5.5 tbs, Its 1 and a half (1 1/2) tbs of vanilla. Ouh..but too late. I'm done baking anyway.

Turns out not bad...tasted like butter muffins. Only by sister said it tasted like sausages..how can a cake tasted like sausages?? I didn't even put any meat in it! I think she just have a weird tastebuds ^^

I didn't take a picture of this one because...well, I just didn't....

Pao making Pau?

Yesterday I decided to make some Pau (or called steam buns).

I started with the dough. That was really really tough. The dough of the pau was dry and I have to mix it evenly. I used up more strength in a week on mixing the dough. How can the people who sell pau do that everyday? I can barely stand doing it for 15 minutes!

Since I dont have char siu (roasted pork), I have to find another filling recipe from other places. I ended up making lean pork with cabbages. Turns out great!

The filling are tasty but just not salty enough. Because the pau bread is tasteless, the filling had to be a little salty. After filling in the paus, I have to wait like 10 minutes for it to rise and then only steam it for yet another 10 minutes.

^^" My paus are not pretty I know......can't blame me its my first time make them. Despite of their looks, they taste pretty nice. Seriously....

Paintball War!

Last Sunday, I went to play paintball game with my friend and my sister. My friend, Carrick, was so excited to play that he found a bunch of his family and friends (plus me and my sister) to play. The fees are ok, not so expensive.

First, the lady incharge went over the rules and everything before we start playing. Everything was fine until she said: "Pain is part of the game." I don't want pain.......We can choose to rent a vest to wear while playing the game or not. So naturally i rent the vest.

We was separated into two teams and then the war started. We won the first round but then lost the second. Its kinda fun. Since we have a lot of paintball left and we wanted to finish the game soon, the lady incharge suggested us to just shoot the opponent until he/she surrenders or we are out of paintballs. Can't really remember what it called...something like battle royale or something.

My sister got hit pretty bad since she was attacked by a person in close range. That hurts a lot and will get blue black (?). Ouch!

I did get hit but not close range so it doesnt hurt at all. So I got off with nothing. Generally the game was pretty fun. My sister said: " It was fun shooting people, but its no fun at all when you got shot!" hahah XD I still think its fun ^^

Worried about my cats

The weather these days here is kinda bad. Its shiney and hot in the morning, then it rains in the evening. Weather like this, even my cats got sick. I'm so worried.

One of them is serious I think. She dont move around much anymore and looks like she's really sick. I know it when my cats are not feeling well. But I can't take her to a vet. She's old and have always been aggressive. I don't even dare to touch her actually. No one dares to. So I'll just have to hope that she gets better soon.

My only male kitty is also sick. Can you believe that cats can have a sore throat and lost their voice? well..that's what happen to him. He lost his voice! I'm so worried that it will stay like that forever. He's my favourite right now and I dont want a numb cat. But I think he getting better, he's voice came back a little today. So yeay~

The others are just fine. So hope all my cats will be healthy and sick free!

Death by Chocolate

Last Friday, I was really bored at home so I decided to bake a cake. I search throung the internet for chocolate cake recipe and I came across a cake named "Death by Chocolate". It sounds cool since it uses lots of chocolate ^^. Before I can start baking, I have to get the ingredients:

Ingredients for cake
8 oz (225 g) dark semisweet chocolate (40-50% cocoa)
2/3 cup (140 g) butter
1 cup (210 g) sugar
4 eggs
4 heaped tablespoons (1 dl) all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1½ teaspoon baking powder or 1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons sour cream

Ingredients for frosting
2/3 cup (1.6 dl) heavy cream or whipping cream
9 oz (260 g) semisweet chocolate (40-50% cocoa)

So I walk to places near my house to buy the ingredients. I got all of them except 1 : Sour cream. I can't believe its sooo hard to find sour cream. By the way, its raining heavily that day and it didnt stop for hours. Well..I still had to get that last ingredient no matter what so I walked to Damai to search for it. At last I found it and by the time I reached home, its been 1 hour passed. I'm totally exhausted.

But I finally get started.

Looking good~

Since I'm waiting for it to cool down, I went to take a long shower after a tired day ^^

The cake will rise and then drop after cooling causing the surface to be uneven. I had to cut some of the skin away to make it more even. That explains the ring there.

Frosting time!

Even my sister helped out frosting the cake. I made the frosting from dark chocolate so it's a little bitter. I'm not a fan of bitter food. That why i think the cake is better off without the frosting. But the cake is REALLY good. I never knew I can bake! XD

Tada~!! Its supposed to be a little smiley face there but nevermind...

My mom tasted the cake and she said its really nice. hahaha I've succeeded in baking the cake! yeay~
